and that's because it's hard to be positive about human nature when you talk to some young people teenagers and early 20s they sometimes say things to you like they believe the ideal way to organize society is just to have everybody carrying a loaded gun at all times because then there wouldn't be any crime nobody would get mugged if everyone had military training and was carrying a gun at all times yeah you know the problem with what you're telling me is that you're talking about people have you have you met any people do you know any people it's not the guns that are the problem in this equation have you ever have you ever seen what happens when two people start a fist fight in a movie theater have you and of course they haven't been in these kinds of situations i remember fights breaking out in china and uh in internet cafes and then the mob mentality takes over and none of those people well they had no no weapons but their keyboards um what happens when one shot gets fired in a darkened movie theater then everyone else whips out their guns it's hard to be positive about the right to bear arms because of human nature it's hard to be positive about our rights and privileges and freedoms in terms of sexuality and even about freedom of speech because of human nature and we are living in a day and age when anyone can create a website titled blank is a sexual predator fill in the blank with your name or the name of some loved one you have blank is abusive to women anyone can make any allegation on the internet if you have a little little bit of fame here on youtube instagram social media those accusations could have terrible haunting long-term consequences for all of the people involved including the person making the allegations quote on november 26 2020 i was at a small thanksgiving gathering that kevin organized at his now current girlfriend's house late into the night after hours of dancing drinking eating etc everyone left the house except and my partner went upstairs to sleep once talk of hooking up was heard it became clear who was the uncomfortable one tyler he was in a relationship at the time and resisted rachel's physical and verbal fontling she was the one pressuring him and he was the one saying no tyler admitted he found racial attractive but didn't think it was a good idea rachel was the one who violated consent that people if it was a one-time thing i didn't know what at the time but this was never an agreement that they had tyler was lying about this in order to get my consent tyler then continuously encouraged me to keep drinking knowing that this would be more likely to lead to me saying yes it first began by tyler and i awkwardly kissing on the floor of the kitchen kevin began cheering at this victory and persisting that we keep going yes that's a misuse of the word persisting but i won't digress i remember feeling a sense of being put on display for his amusement and being reminded of frat house party scenes and movies tyler was the first to take off an article of clothing before they both pressured me to take off mine as well saying okay rachel your turn it eventually led to us moving from the kitchen to one of the bedrooms where the threesome happened which i was barely conscious for i was so drunk that the next day i had to ask tyler if there was penetration because i couldn't remember he fall in love with of the people you sleep with even of the people you flirt with and take the first steps to initiate a relationship with when you fall in love with someone you're making a judgment about them that they are worthy of your love that they are lovable that they are worth loving that they are worth building some kind of relationship or life with i feel that way even if frankly it's a short-term relationship i understand that people are driven to madness by the sense of regret for the people they have slept with they have seduced or that they have fallen in love with in the past because we don't just regret the bare fact that we had sex with them we are reflecting on and we are regretting who it is that we ourselves truly are what it is that we've become what it is that we
